Clothes For Confidence
We partnered with local schools, social workers, and other nonprofit organizations to help obtain uniforms, shoes, and warm winter clothing, with a special focus on children experiencing homelessness and those living in low-income communities.
Snacks For Success
At Packs with Purpose, we quickly learned that many children in low-income and homeless situations rely on school meals as well as food pantries and community kitchens for nourishment. A simple snack can make a big difference, helping students stay focused, energized, and engaged throughout the school day. Packs with Purpose has supplied snack bins for several classrooms and continues to restock them regularly to meet ongoing need.
Mental Health Matters
At Packs with Purpose, we quickly learned that children and teachers needed more support than just clothing and food. Given the stressful situations many of these children face at home and in their communities, they require extra love, patience, and individualized care. By providing a “calm corner” along with fidgets, sensory tools, and small prizes, teachers have had greater success keeping students engaged, focused, and attending school regularly.
